A working lighthouse on Anastasia Island and one of the most documented haunted sites in Florida.
The current tower replaced an earlier Spanish watchtower. The grounds are tied to the drowning of two young girls during construction and to keepers who served and died there. The tower, keeper’s house and grounds are the focus of frequent investigations, including televised ones, with reports of children’s laughter and figures on the stairs.
Children's laughter on the tower stairs, a figure in the gallery, and recorded voices.
